A couple from Cajon.
Author: DonWinslow

1. Cajon Station in the early morning.
2. Swarthout Canyon at the break of day with the sun just breaking out of the fog and just hitting the canyon over the ridge line.

Just have a question here...does BNSF run anything other than GE's into Southern California ??? I know they use GP60m's on some of the locals but does BNSF ever use SD70ACe's into the basin.

I know UP does !!!!!

Thanks

Jay

Hate to tell ya', but ... GE is the ONLY main power running into the L.A. Basin for BNSF. It would be NICE to see those BNSF EMD SD70ACe's here in So. CA. Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't most of the BNSF 70ACe's hauling coal in the Powder River Basin?

The EMD GP60M's are run on locals here in Orange County (CA), and up on the former Santa Fe Pasadena Sub.

Second shot looks like a Howard Fogg painting. Beautiful.

Up here in the Pacific Northwest I have seen the SD70ACe's mostly on coal trains and now they are showing up on some of the oil trains, some of the unit grain trains.

Don you have taken some great pictures, I enjoy them

Second shot looks so overprocessed that it looks fake.

Fogg never painted with a muddy style
