Dirty Dirt

Up ran the first Dirty Dirt train we have seen in a while on the SF Peninsula Saturday afternoon. Shown here after running around the train and getting ready to head North at CP Coast (Sana Clara, CA) with the impressive(?) San Jose skyline in the background.

I agree, nice time stamp. 19 cars, pretty light on their springs, so probably no more than 1/4 to 1/3 full. don't want the stuff blowing around...

Thanks for documenting the move. Nice to see a low numberboard GE leading the train, and 6768 has no heritage other than UP, all "original??"

Modern railfanning has become subtle - low numberboards, Big Radiators, flagless, Fallen Flags in Armour Yellow (delivered ex-SP, ex-CNW), class units not ending in xx00, etc.
