Today's UP consist on the LaSalle, CO to Fort Collins Local had an unlikely stray SD70M Southern Belle in the consist, brightening up the overcast afternoon at Boettcher north of LaPorte at the Holcim Cement loadout.

Photo 1 - Repainted KCS SD70M 3950 Belle.

Photo 2 - The entire consist at the Holcim Cement Plant which is no longer an active mine but functions to unload inbound loaded cement cars.

My first feeble outing after left shoulder replacement only one week and 4 days ago, hard to operate the Nikon with one hand! Four more weeks in a brace...

That KCS engine has been on the Ft. Collins and Cheyenne locals out of La Salle for almost 2 weeks now! I wonder if KCS misses it:)
