The first engine to get BNSF paint that was not a new locomotive, the 2099. This unit was involved in a side-swipe wreck a few years ago in the Tulsa, OK area. It was loaded onto a BNSF flatcar for Topeka, KS. Any updates on this locomotive? Thanks for any answers.

The first engine to get BNSF paint that was not a new locomotive was BN SD60M 9297, painted in May 1996.  BN GP38-2 2099 followed in August 1996.

According to FRA accident report number GC0511109, BNSF 2099 was involved in a minor collision at Galveston, TX on May 18, 2011.

BNSF 2099 was sent to Topeka for repairs in July 2011, passing through Tulsa en route:

As was reported in 2013, the unit returned to service following repairs:

This photo from 2013 shows the unit back at work in Texas.  The fuel tank and air reservoir are no longer silver, but the unit still sports its wagon-wheel emblem:

Thanks for the corrections and update. Evan, I actually did a search on TO and nothing came up. I may not have did the search right. Who knows?
