Western Railroad Discussion > In rapid succession at GoldtreeDate: 08/21/16 17:04 In rapid succession at Goldtree Author: SPgoletablock After working a few hours yesterday morning, I figured it was a good call to head for Cuesta knowing that the "cans" were making a daylight afternoon run West and the AMTK #14 had 4 private cars in tow. The Empties got into SLO ahead of the tardy #14 at about 1515 hrs. The "cans" had a crew on duty when they arrived but the dispatcher decided to let #14 pass them at SLO. The also late #11 with engines 176 and 150 pulled into the Chorro siding as #14 hit the horseshoe with private cars Overland Trail, Silver Lariat, Cimmarron River and Pacific Sands trailing. As soon as #11 arrived at the SLO Depot UP 7923 made its charge for the grade. Pretty good action in a short period of time for the Coast.
