Western Railroad Discussion > Minor BNSF derailment west of Danville, IA

Got a phone call from a friend of mine this afternoon about a train derailed west of Danville, IA so l took a drive out there. Best l could tell it was a coal empty westbound on Main 2 (BNSF 6233 and 8520 for power), starting with if l counted right the 11th car through the 15th derailed and upright. One car was totally off the rails, others had as little as just one axle off... not sure of the cause but looked to be damage to l'm sure just rail and ties and wheels on the cars.
