Western Railroad Discussion > Saturday morning huntingDate: 03/11/17 15:40 Saturday morning hunting Author: rdlehmer Half a day off from work, so what to do...get in a morning of train chasing.
1. Amtrak 6 between Berkeley and Stege led by 174 and 145. 2. KOASC at Emeryville with 8585-4851-7716 pulls out of RD1 after Amtrak 727 arrived. 3. 8585 East at the control signal for the east end of RD1. Ron Date: 03/11/17 15:48 Re: Saturday morning hunting Author: rdlehmer Was going to bail, but heard that a BNSF got an eastbound warrant between Rheem and Collier, which turned out to be a baretable train out of Oakland. Since I was half way to Martinez, ended up going all the way to Martinez and caught the KOASC again at Ozol. 8585-4851-7716 with 116 platforms and 7080-5365 as the DPU buried 76 cars deep.

1. A little out of position for the baretable, but got it cruising out of the tunnel at Glen Frazier. 2. The baretable met a westbound at Port Chicago at the start of CTC. This turned out to be a 8 car UPS Z-train with 7073-7101-4971-8011, seen here at Viano Winery at Pacheco. Ron Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/11/17 18:37 by rdlehmer. |
