Update on SP 1006 at OERM (SCRM) 3/18/17
Author: TomPlatten

Today we made a big start on the second truck for SP 1006 by moving the traction motors and wheels sets into the carbarn for refurbishment. The journals boxes were also removed and palletized for cleaning, allowing us to view all of the brasses. Three of the four brasses appear to be OK for reuse. One brass had been inserted backwards at some point in time and will have to be replaced. All in all, not too bad for its age and rough scrap yard use. Carl is seen in the photos with his big crane moving the motors. Dave took these photos for me!

Tom,

Can you please expand on the names 'Carl' and 'Dave' in the 1006 report here.
