BNSF around Kingman AZ
Author: ACR_Ted

Last Thursday I went to the Kingman AZ area for a few days and here are a few photos from that trip. The BNSF was very busy and there were a lot of trains running. Even the weather was just fine....3 days of no clouds and 1 day of a few thin clouds that weren't too bad.

Photo 1 - An eastbound working its way up the grade.

Photo 2 - A westbound running downgrade.

Photo 3 - Another eastbound.

Very Nice Series of Photos Ted, Thanks for Sharing. One day I would like to make it up there especially when it gets too hot out here in the desert along UP's Sunset Route.

Thank you for sharing those Ted! Looks like it was a nice time. I see a few units in there that have been in Phoenix in the past week or two as well.

Very nice series!   It also shows that there are a LOT of SD70ACes working the Southern Transcon right now, relatively speaking.

Great shots !! Is it fairly easy access to the canyon ? How about with a "regular" car ? Plan to be out there later this year in late Oct.

Most of the Kingman locations are right next to a paved road that continues to the city baseball field.

Also can't remember the name of the Mexican restaurant across from the station. I second that place for good food. Really nice photos. Cool to see a Santa Fe painted GP39-2 and a newly rebuilt GP60M-3 also a B40-8W all out on a mainline freight.
