UP #844 Boise Turn - Part I
Author: philhoov

I chased the UP #844 Boise Turn from Glenns Ferry, Idaho to (almost) the UP Nampa Yard yesterday.
Traffic was horrendous with railfans racing to get to the next locations along the way.
Here are a few random photos today from the Boise Depot where the train was on static display.
More to come in Part II with the chase from Glenns Ferry on up to Nampa.
The crowds were amazing everywhere!
The line to get a look inside the cab of the #844 stretched 200-300 feet today and parking was nearly impossible anywhere near the depot.
Naturally, someone stepped into my shot every time I composed an image.

Wait....so you're telling me sitting in the engineer's seat doesn't make you a qualified engineer?? Or is that only at museums?? ;)
