few Joint Line . . .
Author: 3rdswitch

. . . few assorted joint BNSF UP Denver Pueblo Joint Line recent shots;
top: Had a friend visiting last month so took her son on down to the Palmer Lake "secret spot" (everybody knows) thinking the BNSF Pikes Peak Local was coming turned out to be just another BNSF coal empty.
middle: After waiting for BNSF Q train in distance a UP coal load destined downtown Colorado Springs Drake plant was starting to pull out of the "sag" a mile north of the top of the Palmer Divide at Palmer Lake.
bottom: Yesterday Palmer Lake was calm so headed down but by the time this northbound BNSF manifest showed a breeze came up taking care of the stillness.

Nice set--good activity and types of trains make for a good day.
