Western Railroad Discussion > Afternoon at Warren.Date: 04/28/17 19:02 Afternoon at Warren. Author: SPgoletablock After a long day on the Western slope of the pass I decided to chill out on the hill above Warren. Lucked into a Barstow originated manifest with a variety headend consist and also a military extra.

Date: 04/28/17 23:01 Re: Afternoon at Warren. Author: exhaustED About a mile or so closer to Mojave you can take a track that crosses over the railroad tracks and then heads up into the big curve in the photo. So you can park on the west side of the railroad after crossing it and then walk for about 20-30 minutes to the spot the photo was taken. Have a look on google earth, it should be easy to see.

I don't know if that is still possible or not, and I wouldn't really recommend it as I really very nearly got stuck a couple of times. (Great shots) Date: 04/29/17 10:48 Re: Afternoon at Warren. Author: SantaFeRuss Nice photos. There was a post last week with a very similar consist in the Tehachapis. Cool military move. I have been seeing more military moves lately on line and in person on a lot of the class ones.

DP was cut in 20 cars from the head end. Weird setup To the OP, congrats! |
