BNSF Officer Special Heading West
Author: slug96

A 15 car BNSF special heads west for Bend, Oregon. I was lucky enough to catch it  going over the Arizona Divide this evening. The train dropped off 5 other cars that'll run to Phoenix soon.

Here are the cars.
Mt. San Antonio
Rollins Pass
Lake Superior

Mountain View
Missouri River.
Flathead River.
Powder River.
Bay View
Colorado River.
Fox River
Red River
Glorieta Pass
Fred Harvey
Cajon Pass
Mt. Rainier

Thanks for looking!

Between the filthy SD70ACe that UP put on the AARPCO special and this BNSF thing, are they trying to outdo each other with negative company image ?

Nice shots however.

Considering this train is just a deadhead move to Oregon, who cares how clean it is.

A little late, but I wanted to followup on David's post from a few weeks ago. James Schlinger and I were in the Feather River Canyon on May 21st. We were checking out TO that morning and saw David's report of a BNSF passenger move to Bend Ore. We didn't think much of it, until we saw an odd looking symbol on the lineup and made some assumptions that it might in fact be the passenger equipment heading north. We set up west of Virgilia and caught it in the early morning sun leaving Serpentine Canyon. Interesting that the 7280 had been replaced by the 3727 and a DPU added to the rear. First time I have seen that arrangement! We followed it up the Highline but gave up the chase when it disappeared in the heavy forests north of Westwood.
