Street running in Bellevue
Author: pummer

Canadian Pacific's Marquette Subdivision (ex-MILW) includes some street running in Bellevue, Iowa. Trains at one time were limited to 10 mph through town, but in recent years the speed was raised (20 mph, I believe) Here's a few shots from yesterday...

1 & 2. - CP train 475 running down Second Street.
3. A new Union Pacific unit leading a coal train bound for the Columbia Power plant near Portage, WI.

I believe the station sign for Bellevue is near the grocery store, always neat coming thru that town on a train.

Nice pictures.

Like all the photos, but I think the first one is the winner for me. Nice seeing the train coming down the road with the layout of the town surrounding it.

Good stuff, thanks for the post.

Indeed, a meet with a train and a bicycle.
