Western Railroad Discussion > Are UP's C44-9W locomotives Still Stored?Date: 07/21/17 08:57 Are UP's C44-9W locomotives Still Stored? Author: railfaneric Good Morning everybody. I've been wondering about UP's Dash 9 locomotives. Are they still stored and Does UP 9722 still have a K5LA? Also are C&NW 8646 and 8701 still at the IRM?
Date: 07/21/17 09:39 Re: Are UP's C44-9W locomotives Still Stored? Author: upheritage6 A lot of UP D9s are running, some are stored IIRC. The twins are at the IRM last I heard.

Yes, the twins are there. Date: 07/21/17 12:07 Re: Are UP's C44-9W locomotives Still Stored? Author: ble692 Not sure where the information in the first reply came from, but I just checked and the entire UP C44-9W fleet is currently stored. Also currently stored is the UP's entire fleets of SD60M, C40-8, C40-8W, C41-8W, and SD9043AC.
The numbers of these stored units are: C40-8: UP 9101,9102,9104,9105,9107,9109,9112,9113,9115,9120,9125,9127,9135,9139,9140,9145,9150,9152,9157,9158,9160,9163,9164,9169,9172-9177,9179-9181,9183-9185,9188-9190,9192,9193,9195,9196,9199-9204,9206-9209,9213-9216,9218,9219,9223,9225,9227-9230,9233,9235,9237,9240-9242,9244,9246-9251,9254,9256,9257,9259,9261-9266,9269-9272,9275,9281-9283,9285-9289,9291,9292,9295-9309,9311-9315,9317,9319,9320,9323-9329,9332-9334,9337,9338,9340,9345-9353,9355 (149 units) C40-8W: UP 9356-9395 (40 units) C41-8W: UP 9396-9401,9403-9421,9423-9555,9557-9559 (161 units) C44-9W: CNW 8646,8701; UP 9564-9592,9594-9715,9717-9730,9732-9749,9751-9804,9806-9834 (268 units) SD9043AC: UP 3484,3494,3503,3509,3543,3545-3548,3551-3578,3580-3592,3594-3607,3609-3619,3622-3626,3628-3630,3632-3636,3638-3640,3642-3655,3657-3660,3662-3672,3674-3678,3680-3682,3684-3686,3688,3689,3691-3696,3698,3699,3702,3703,3705-3708,3711,3712,3717-3720,3722-3751,3753,3754,3756-3763,3765-3768,3770-3777 (204 units) While a few of the above units have moved around recently, and a couple are moving right now, it is just relocating them to different storage locations.
