Western Railroad Discussion > Second Best

Haven't had too much luck getting my portfolio of UP Heritage units filled out, but managed to get a couple in June. Unfortunately, both were second out in the consist:

1 & 2 UP 8713 with UP 1982 second out between Boyer and Missouri Valley IA on June 18. Looks like a ZLAG1 complete with mid-train DP. Impressive domestic trains.
3 & 4 UP 7988 with UP 1983 second out at Ames NE on June 25. Probably a PNW stack train from looking at the mixed consist.

Both appear freshly painted - nice to see them.

Impressive looking trains and locations and always nice to get the Heritage Units in the consist.
