US 30, my Nebraska home away from home

Driving back to Arizona, I ended up on US 30 again. I've been on it much more than the neighboring freeway. As I headed home to Arizona, I encountered this westbound near Gibbon, NE. June 17th, 2017. The Sun was just about to set. This day, the railfan gods smiled at me.

U.S. 30, across Nebraska, the only way to go west. I was just at the same crossing about a week ago.

Real nice photos.A trip out along 30 is almost an annual tradition for me ,while visiting bud's in Omaha.Head west on 30 ,then 4-5 days fishing in the Black Hills,then back to Omaha along BNSF's Sand Hills sub.Almost time to do it again.
