Thanks to everyone who got out and shared their photos of these units and the specials they led the last two weekends. Great shots all around of the Nebraska 150 Express (pulled by 949 & 9010) and the UP Museum Special (pulled by 951, 949 & 9010).

Did Ed throw away the manual on that one too? Date: 08/14/17 21:38 Re: Union Pacific E9As heading back to the stable Author: IC1038west Thank you for image #2. It is nice to see a UP heritage photo without someone hanging out a window. Thanks again for your post.

The B unit UP 963B is on a whisker track stuck behind the construction taking place around the turntable area. Maybe Uncle Pete could spring for a good auto body repair guy to take the dents out of the door?

That door looks like the front end of her car. Date: 08/15/17 15:19 Re: Union Pacific E9As heading back to the stable Author: Copy19 Imagine how many engine men, mechanical guys, laborers and others kicked that door open not to mention suitcases, grips and other flotsam over the years.

The bondo job on the front door seams was fairly rough also. Finish work doesn't seem to rate very high on the to do list. But the guy who laid down the paint sure put down a smooth beautiful coat. Date: 08/16/17 12:29 Re: Union Pacific E9As heading back to the stable Author: Josta Yeah, I was wondering the same thing....what happened to the door? You'd think they'd have it de-dented before painting?
