Western Railroad Discussion > Heritage Surprise on the Sunset Route (Pictures / Video)Date: 08/14/17 20:54 Heritage Surprise on the Sunset Route (Pictures / Video) Author: SouthWestRailCams On July 29, 2017 we went out RailFanning along UP's Sunset Route and was not expecting anything but the normal Armour Yellow however we had a surprise on our first train. Our first train was the Union Pacific (UP 7820) leading a eastbound Premium Intermodal Train through Maricopa, AZ which was the ZCIG4-29 (Premium Intermodal-City of Industry-Global 4). This was at the CP Bon (SP 906) just east of Maricopa. This is the first crossing out of Maricopa and their Quiet Zone.

They've changed this train around, no more mid-train DPU but it carries pretty much the same stuff. Seen a few UPS trailers on this one passing La Plata lately, which is strange because I thought BNSF had all that LA-CHI business locked up.

Looking at previous ZCIG4s videos/pictures I have, looks like the mid-train DPU moved to the headend the same time the Arrowedge was stopped being placed on this train. Just what I have noticed.
