There are cables wrapped around the end and it's painted gray like the boxcar (although it would have been gray on the loco), and it seems to have its own stand to sit on. It looks fairly empty underneath. Thanks.

Newer Diesel Electric Loco's have a Built in Self Loading test. In order to test and see how much Horse Power the Locomotive is producing, those Cables are attached to the Loco being tested |
