We were so stupid back then, and we seem to be forgetting those lessons of the past. Trump's EPA Administrator is doing his best to send us back to those days. Do anything you want in the name of profits.

Date: 10/17/17 22:35 Re: Livingston, MT Pollution Author: railstiesballast On a 1970s trip across Montana on the North Coast Hiawatha we stopped for fuel in Missoula. On one of the units the tank filled up and the backflow preventer did not work and fuel was pouring into the ballast. I tried to get the RR employee interested it this but he would have had to walk a unit length from where he was and he just let it run into the ground....Yes, that was the level of care for the environment back then.
Date: 10/18/17 08:31 Re: Livingston, MT Pollution Author: BAB That happens every day with some peoples lack of caring at there job. Only if they are caught and fired will it ever stop as no amount of laws or rules will ever stop it. Also there is push back from other employees against a person saying anything at some places.
And the other thing keep the politics out of this forum. Date: 10/18/17 08:52 Re: Livingston, MT Pollution Author: jointauthority But yet they kept cashing their paychecks.....
