Western Railroad Discussion > Fall foaming in the South Willamette ValleyDate: 10/17/17 22:46 Fall foaming in the South Willamette Valley Author: CBRL Not much in the way of Fall colors but still hoping.
1. Amtrak 14 slithers around a southbound manifest waiting on the main at the south switch of Judkins. 2. UP 5129 leads a tie train south over the Calapooya River SP truss bridge of 1906. 3. The old Oregon Electric substation at Cartney, Oregon. Now part of PNWR line from Eugene to Albany. Three more to come. Tom Trent Eugene, OR Date: 10/17/17 22:52 Re: Fall foaming in the South Willamette Valley Author: CBRL 4. A colorful piece of vandalism.
5. Amtrak 14, two hours late, along Jasper Road between Natron and Dougren. 6. Another old Dash-9, UP 9651. I was stunned by the excellent condition of the paint on such an old locomotive until I found out this was an ex-SP unit only repainted in 2008. It still appears to be without "tunnel blemish" - but it is in the Eugene yard and will likely soon be headed south up the hill. What is that box behind the cab - A/C? Thanks for looking. It may be Vandalism but it's still Art by definition. Posted from Android Date: 10/18/17 13:56 Re: Fall foaming in the South Willamette Valley Author: CBRL Thanks! Can't go wrong with Godzilla - looking forward to the whole set, Rodan, Mothra, etc.
