Western Railroad Discussion > New MARC & SEPTA Power in KansasDate: 12/05/17 20:02 New MARC & SEPTA Power in Kansas Author: bnsfsd70 This afternoon, between work and later work, I snuck out to Wildcat country and photographed the Union Pacific SFLES-01 with the new SEPTA and MARC units out of Siemens.
I don't expect to see these back in Kansas anytime soon, so I wanted to get them while I could. Unfortunately, the sun was setting and I had to get back to work, so this was as far as I took it, but I was thrilled to get what I could of this train.

Date: 12/06/17 15:23 Re: New MARC & SEPTA Power in Kansas Author: Mgoldman Was this a "heavy engine move"? If not, why two diesels to pull it?
For that matter, would it have been possible to simply add the units to a cross country freight train? Is that not feasible, or is it just that Maryland and Philadelphia have money burning holes in their pockets? Nice shots - thanks for sharing! /Mitch Date: 12/06/17 20:22 Re: New MARC & SEPTA Power in Kansas Author: SouthWestRailCams Date: 12/07/17 14:43 Re: New MARC & SEPTA Power in Kansas Author: GoodTimeCharlie I wondered the same thing Mitch.
