The UP Coast line is now shut down between Ventura and Capentria
Author: czuleget

Knx just reported that the UP coastline along with the 101 is completely closed between Ventura and Carpentria Due to extreme fire activity. The shelter has opened at UCSB rec center if anybody needs a place to go. My sister opened it 24 hours ago for evacuees. 17 mile stretch of the 101 is closed.
The 126 is also closed.

Ojai is being evacuated as well.

90,000 acres now have burned on the Thomas Fire.

Our prayers go out to everyone in Southern California today. The CalFire Chief said that if any new fires break out today they (firefighters) will not be able to stop them because of the high winds.

We've had six straight days of constant 40-45 mph winds down on the desert, can't be helping the fire front.
