After the Train Show
Author: twjurgens

Went to the Lincoln Area Railway Historical Society's annual train show at the Lancaster Event Center in Lincoln, NE with my brother, Ron, last Saturday. They had a very good turnout and bigger show than usual.

After a couple of hours at the show, we left to see if we could find some trains. Shortly after we left the show, we saw the CHIDEN paused for a crew change near the stadium. We thought we might have time to beat him to Denton for a few pics. The first shot attached is that train powered by 3816, 5750, and 9373 southwest of Denton.

Then we headed over to Pleasant Dale and caught a coal empty powered by 8591 and 6219 with 9059 as dpu.

Seemed like an unusually quiet Saturday afternoon but it was good to be out on a mild day.

Nice shots, Tom, thanks for posting.

Is that bridge the old US6 bridge or a different one. I've only been to
Pleasant Dale once and don't remember it.

Thanks Nick! The second shot is on 182nd Road about 2 miles west of Pleasant Dale and probably 2 miles south of 6. You may be thinking of the bridge at Plamor just west of Lincoln.
