It looks like it's northbound, coming off the ex-SP line, but that can't be right. With diverting tracks on either side, it's visually confusing here.

Brian Stevens Date: 03/12/18 06:08 Re: Trains at Binney jct 3/10/18 Author: ronald321 I have no idea where Binnie Jct. is.

I've tried to get in there twice (most recently about 4 years ago after Winterail), following instructions to use the road through the cemetery to the junction, but found the gate closed (at about 8-9am). Is there another way?

This train is coming Eastbound off of the UP Sacramento Sub and turning Northbound onto the Valley Sub heading towards Dunsmuir. Hope this helps. ------------------------------------------------------- > I have no idea where Binnie Jct. is. Binney junction is located in Yuba City, CA. It is were the UP Sacramento subdivision from Stockton to Oroville CA (on the way to the Feather River Canyon) and UP Valley subdivision from Roseville to Dunsmuir CA (on the way to Oregon) cross each other. BNSF also has trackage rights from Elvas tower in Sacramento to to Keddie wye in the Feather river canyon so they can access their High line tracks. Hope this helps.
