Photos 5-6 confuse me--what line is the train on, and where is it headed?  It looks like it's northbound, coming off the ex-SP line, but that can't be right.  With diverting tracks on either side, it's visually confusing here.

Nice shots. Really like the first few where all the units are unusually the same model.

I have no idea where Binnie Jct. is.

Neat photos, looks like a lot of fans there. I've tried to get in there twice (most recently about 4 years ago after Winterail), following instructions to use the road through the cemetery to the junction, but found the gate closed (at about 8-9am). Is there another way?

Thanks,

Rich

This train is coming Eastbound off of the UP Sacramento Sub and turning Northbound onto the Valley Sub heading towards Dunsmuir. Hope this helps.

Binney junction is located in Yuba City, CA.

It is were the UP Sacramento subdivision from Stockton to Oroville CA (on the way to the Feather River Canyon) and UP Valley subdivision from Roseville to Dunsmuir CA (on the way to Oregon) cross each other. BNSF also has trackage rights from Elvas tower in Sacramento to to Keddie wye in the Feather river canyon so they can access their High line tracks.

Hope this helps.

It was in Marysville but I guess it has moved to Yuba City.
