BNSF & CNW Patch on the Gila Sub! - 01/06/2018 (Photos/Videos)

Today's post will have 3 trains from UP's Gila Sub (Ex SP's Sunset Route) from 01/06/2018.

The following trains will be in this series:

Case Grande, AZ (Milepost 915)
1. UP 7480 East - ZLAGN-06 (Premium Intermodal-Los Angeles-CSX Gentilly Yard/New Orleans) - 2018.01.06 @ 3:12 PM
2. BNSF 4656 East - AMLNSR-05 (Auto-Mira Loma-Norfolk Southern-Reposition) - 2018.01.06 @ 4:42 PM

Maricopa, AZ (Milepost 898) - Roster shot at the Arizona Grain Siding
3. UP 6706 West - GKMRPC-06 (Grain-Milling-Arizona Grain-Pocatello, ID) - 2018.01.06 @ 5:45 PM

First, we have Union Pacific (UP 7480) leading an eastbound Premium Intermodal Train which was the ZLAGN-06 (Premium Intermodal-Los Angeles-CSX Gentilly Yard/New Orleans).  The consist was UP 7480 (GE AC45CCTE), UP 4883 (EMD SD70M), with DPU: UP 5370 (GE AC45CCTE).  Train arrived at 2018.01.06 @ 3:12 PM.

Next, we have Union Pacific with BNSF 4656 leading an eastbound Reposition Auto Train which was the AMLNSR-05 (Auto-Mira Loma-Norfolk Southern-Reposition).  The consist was BNSF 4656 (GE C44-9W) with DPU: UP 6365 (GE AC44CW).  Train arrived at 2018.01.06 @ 4:42 PM.

Finally, we have Union Pacific (UP 6706) - CNW Patch leading a westbound Grain Train which was the GKMRPC-06 (Grain-Milling-Arizona Grain-Pocatello, ID).  The consist was UP 6706 (CNW Patch-OLS) (GE AC44CW), UP 8243 (GE C45AH), with DPUs: UP 8006 (GE AC45CCTE), UP 5936 (GE AC44CWCTE).  Train arrived at 2018.01.06 @ 5:45 PM.  First two shots were taking at the AZ Grain Siding (Around MP 902).

Thanks for another NICE series of FAST Freights Christina. Must be unusual to see a BNSF on the point. Nice catch of the patched CNW unit. Sounds like Mariposa is a quiet zone. On your intro, you could shorten it a bit. I do like the last two trains in the intro.

Sounds like Maricopa is a quiet zone. Maricopa is a Quiet Zone.  Next city that will be a Quiet Zone is Mesa.
On your intro, you could shorten it a bit. I do like the last two trains in the intro. Thanks for the feedback.

Intro is well done and deserves to stay. All videos very enjoyable and intro enhances effort of performing this for TO viewers.

Great pictures and videos. Length of intro is just fine. Update as desired.

Is platform at Maricopa open 24X7? Any shade?
