A couple of SD60Ms the past week. First one is UP 2291, a 3-window job that looks a bit rusty but otherwise not bad. The second is 2-window 2484 that looks like the prep was started for repainting and not completed before the move. Both shot in Eugene, OR. Also saw an SD60 standard cab but not in a position to shoot it.

Wow, 2484 is looking a bit raggidity. Maybe the local Earl Schieb has some time to help out.

I guess the Oregon taggers have to wait for drier weather for the paint to stick.

It is getting drier this week, but I think it may already be up in Portland waiting for paint (UP or otherwise).

Since the C&O SD70ACe has been kabashed, maybe someone with a knack with painting stuff could paint this one(UP 2484) fully instead... :)

Did not realize any 60Ms were still running around in that state... wow. This seems to have been one that had defective paint from the get-go, and never made it to Jenks (or into the SD59MX rebuild program...)

Wash 2484 and clear coat her. I'm all about preserving yesterday.

I guess they aren't even bothering to paint 2484 - I saw it last evening on another northbound train, so they are definitely using its horsepower for the southbound trip over the Cascades.
