Long Day at the Office - Part 1
Author: funnelfan

While most people can't wait to leave work after a long day at the "office", I couldn't wait to chase my "office" into the late afternoon sun! Spent all morning and a good chunk of the afternoon unloading 60 cars of wheat at the Highline facility outside of Spokane, WA. Handing the train off to another crew, I wasted little time in getting back to my own rig to follow the train west toward a falling sun. Track speeds are slow while MOW forces install thousands of ties, so the chase was fairly easy in most regards. Here is a selection of images from the first part of the chase in no particular order. Captions are on the images themself.

This post by Ted and the related responses, as well as so many similar posts on TO by knowledgeable and enthusiastic contributors, goes to the essence of what TO is all about. I’m proud to be a member of a website which values wonderfully scenic and thought out photography as well as due respect for the efforts of contributors such as Ted and so many others.

Thank you all for bringing smiles to this old face.
