Western Railroad Discussion > Surfliner and Oil Cans in Santa BarbaraDate: 04/25/18 10:57 Surfliner and Oil Cans in Santa Barbara Author: erielackawanna Visiting my mom in Santa Barbara a couple weeks back, was monitoring the progress of the Oil Cans on the HeadsUpCoastFans io group. Just as we finished lunch, I excused myself for a "railfan ten minutes" (aka an hour or three) to go shoot the train that "I swear is coming right now."
Luckily it was only about an hour, so not too much distress. Here we see Surfliner A769 head north with a venerable F59PHI and then a series of shots as the Oil Cans appeared soon after. It is cheaper to send it by pipeline than rail, but there is no way you wou get a oil pipeline down the coastline Posted from iPhone |
