Chasing The Keokuk Junction F Units

On Sunday I was reading on facebook about the Keokuk F units. The post had said they were in Mapleton, Illinois and expect them to leave either Monday or Tuesday. So Monday I went on a whim and headed to Mapleton. An hour after I arrived the crew showed up and started the engines and a couple hours later left. I would chase them from Mapleton to just east of Bushnel where they cross over a trestle. It was a sight to see 3 F units and 2 GP20's on a freight in 2018. Enjoy!

Nice photos! I really like #7. That road crossing is one of my favorite spots around Mapleton.

Glad you were able to catch them. Looks like a good sized train.
