Sunday's Classic CP Rail Action
Author: rrartist

Once again the CP Rail Marquette Sub. was the place to chase this morning starting with CP 474, CP 8008, ex CP 9533. Starting just south of La Crescent MN I led the train to the wayside just south of Brownsville MN.

Crossing the Reno (MN) dike and again just south of New Albin Iowa where 474 met CP 8007 with 2 /475's train at the Kains Siding.

CP 8007, ex-CP 9532 looked exceptional in the morning sun as the train approached and passed through New Albin Iowa. Once again the Reno dike will feel the passage of another train as the CP 8007 swings onto the dike.

Waiting in Brownsville (MN) for the CP 8007 and again just south of La Crescent and lastly as train rolls into La Crescent with it's 13 car set-out. These rebuilt and repainted motors sure are nice to look at!

Back the La Crosse (WI) I heard CP 470 departing for Portage, so I headed to Bangor WI for the CP 8129 and lastly CP H-20 rumbles towards it's destination of the CP La Crosse yard behind the CP 3015. Have a GREAT Father's Day, I sure did!

Thanks for another great series of clean red CP trains along with a BNSF unit and an older CP 3015. I finally had a nice clean CP unit 8134 roll thru the backyard today.

yes Jim great images. great day two ways for you!!!! Happy Father's day and Birthday to boot. The farm at Bangor with the 8129 on right side hosted the La Crosse County Farm breakfast on Saturday, which meant lotsa traffice. Glad it worked out on Sunday. The Marquette sub is looking great with these CP rebuilds, all they need now is CTC!!!!
