Not a former UP unit. CEFX #6012 was built as Soo Line #6012. It was part of the group of 21 units from the first order of Soo SD60’s that Canadian Pacific returned to the lessor in the mid 2000’s. This particular unit was 1of 11such units that were on lease to the Indiana Railroad for several years, becoming INRD 6012, before they replaced the SD60’s with rebuilt CEFX SD9043MAC’s.

6000,6001 and 6011 now working on the Kanawha River Railroad. 6000 and 6001 painted same as 6012. 6011 still in red and white Soo paint.

CP should have kept them and bought them back, INRD was foolish to get rid of them, too. But they were old, tired and needed a rebuild.

Way in the background of the third image, that should be BNSF 2379 in new H4 paint. That's one of the ex-TP&W GP38-2s.
