Anybody lose a SD9?

I found BNSF 1727 behind a grain elevator / CO-OP in Brookfield MO this week. I went in to ask for permission to take pictures of their locomotive and they told me it wasn't theirs and they did not mind if I took a few shots.

It still as full BNSF markings though it is missing a few parts that indicate it is not in use.

Anybody know the story?
