Two repainted former BN SD60Ms observed on a BNSF local

Two original Burlington Northern Railroad SD60M locomotives with new BNSF Railway paint schemes were spotted on a local today, Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at the New Century AirCenter mini-yard on the east edge of Gardner, KS. The matching pair of engines (Nos. 1424 and 1426) delivered five cars to the New Century yard and then left town with 16 yards. This job operates out of Argentine, KS.

They look sharp, especially with those murdered-out trucks! Plus the new side stands... those are comfortable to run off of.

Did they bother upgrading the cabs and seats as well? They were getting wore out years ago from coal/ore/grain unit train duty.

Thanks, they look alot better than 20+ years ago. Wore out coal power and no more crappy desktop controls.

So,,,,,,,,did you work out there for the BN/BNSF, and when did you retire/leave?
