Western Railroad Discussion > UP Meets the ICDate: 07/20/18 20:26 UP Meets the IC Author: trainmandan This evening I had the opportunity to visit Lena, IL where CN's Dubuque Sub runs west out of Freeport to its namesake city. While there, I witnessed a meet between a westbound grain led by UP (ex-SP) 6211 and M338 led by IC "Deathstar" #1032. Here's a few photos of the action. Enjoy!
1) and 2) UP 6211 enters the siding with the grain train. 3) The grain prepares to meet M338. Date: 07/20/18 20:28 Re: UP Meets the IC Author: trainmandan 4) IC 1032 passes the iconic Chicago Central station sign.
5) Engineer's side of the cab. 6) IC 1032 idles away while waiting for the grain train to clear the siding. Thanks for looking! Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 07/21/18 22:09 by trainmandan. Date: 07/21/18 06:59 Re: UP Meets the IC Author: ntharalson trainmandan Wrote:
