Ed Date: 07/21/18 21:36 Re: SP4728 Caboose (A Gem in the Desert) - 07/21/2018 Author: ATSFSuperChief At least eighteen (or more) years ago walked through both old UP and Santa Fe Cabooses that were at a bridge company in Colorado. Those were in much worse shape as to walk through them you had to keep your feet on the floor under laid cross members but were easy to see as main floor steel must mostly rotted out. Both have been restored which is good for the caboose world. Sorry no photos as lost in forest fire.

Cutting in a new one is hella expensive. The caboose looks in sad shape... C50-9 if I'm correct.
