I was shooting the Hiline just east of the state line. The storm warning was for gusts to 80 mph and tennis-ball size hail. So I bailed south to Fairview. When the storm hit there, the winds rocked the car with torrential rain but no hail. As I headed back north the highway was covered with leaves stripped from trees. DS referred to “trouble” at mp _____.

UP has anemometers installed in this area to keep track of our "gentle zephyrs," a term created by a local real estate con man years ago...
We get some pretty good winds but I do not recall any railcars being blown over - lots of RVs and 18-wheelers, though.
We always suggest folks tie down their small airplanes at the local airport/spaceport if they're going to be here for a while.
