I ventured to Union IL to attend IRM Diesel Days. What a great time.

I had to leave after that as I had about a 3.5 trip back to my parents in Marion. Thank you IRM for a great time. Was well worth it!

Did anyone happen to get photos of the snowplow equipped Wisconsin Central SD45, peeling off part of the station platform?

Good stuff, Dave, although I'll pass on the "Bankruptcy Blue" Rock.  When they have "Diesel Days" on a weekend other than Summerrail, I'll be able to get. there.

That was duly noted and Buildings & Grounds will be making temporary repairs for the remainder of the season. Those pavers were set over 30 years ago and since the platform runs oh-so-ever slightly downhill away from the depot, they have settled toward the track.

Fixing it "right" will involve pulling up and resetting more than a few pavers, as well as new edge timbers, so that will probably have to wait until next year.
