RE or AR #24?
Author: SouthWestRailCams

Was sent this picture to me from a RailFan buddy in Casa Grande, AZ.  This train was heading Westbound today.  Engine is #24?  RE or maybe AR from what I was told.  Anyone seen this before?  Thanks in Advance.

Yes, its a EMD24B.  The logo on it is for Pacific Harbor Line, the switcher railroad at the Ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles.  It was testing there in 2017.  Its a Tier 4 repowered locomotive, thus the "RE" power on the sides.

And the first one is already heading west with an eventual destination of Roseville. UPY 1000 (ex-UP 635) is past Afton, NM at 13:29 today. It is moving on the QEWWC 15 which has UP 8621 on the point. They have it 4th out on the head end of the train up against the cars. Haven't seen any pictures of it online yet at this point.

Also, kinda off subject, but since I'm posting...

UPY 2005, the GS14B center cab Genset, is being moved east by the UP for eventual auction after sitting dead in the LA area for the last several years. It is on the KLBG3 16 with UP 6516 on the point and has just left Las Vegas heading towards Salt Lake City. Eventual destination is Metro East Industries at E. St. Louis, IL.
