CFNR Happenings in Woodland?
Author: coast_to_coast

Curious about the California Northern operations on the West Valley sub. Can the Maxwell Turn out of Woodland be considered a continuation of the the Davis Turn? That is, does the Maxwell Turn head north after the Davis Turn arrives in Woodland?

I haven’t been out there in the morning but I usually see the train coming south from Woodland into Davis in the afternoon, so are there two trips between Woodland and Davis daily?

Guessing after they drop off the interchange for UP they pick up the cars for the next day’s northbound and the cycle continues.

Thanks in advance!

I still can't over the fact that about a month ago, someone posted about a UP unit train headed north on this old line, WITH DPU, which has never happened since CAL NORTHERN took over.  With business growing along this line, anything might happen...

Wow that's amazing! I was expecting 5 to 35 cars max. Keep em coming!
