Western Railroad Discussion > Trains and Sick-bay On The BNSF Northern TransconDate: 10/16/18 15:33 Trains and Sick-bay On The BNSF Northern Transcon Author: Ritzville It was a cool sunny day in Ritzville, Wa on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 63-34. Traffic during the day has been spotty due to work windows, becoming busy at night. I unfortunately have been in sick-bay since Thursday night with what I thought was a cold, but turned out to be the flu. The bug was a butt kicker, never left bed on Sunday and am now starting to feel slightly better. I did manage to get some grab shots from the back door between Friday and Monday. Went trackside on a couple of trains today now that I'm getting my strength back. Haven't been sick for a couple of years, I guess this made up for it, lol. Get your flu shots because it's no fun. Here's a look back at sick-bay.

Larry Ritzville, WA Date: 10/16/18 18:07 Re: Trains and Sick-bay On The BNSF Northern Transcon Author: icancmp193 Flu shots important for us geezers. You may still get the flu, but the duration is often less. I had about 3 days down in late December 2016 where I didn't even get up to watch the trains.
TJY Date: 10/16/18 18:54 Re: Trains and Sick-bay On The BNSF Northern Transcon Author: BoostedFridge I'm glad to hear that you're mending up Larry!
There should be even more traffic on the line than usual right now. There are maintenance windows from 08:00-14:00, and 20:00-02:00 each day this week on Stevens Pass. A few more of those 'S' trains with the marine stacks perhaps. Date: 10/16/18 19:08 Re: Trains and Sick-bay On The BNSF Northern Transcon Author: Ritzville BoostedFridge Wrote:

Thanks, starting to feel human again, lol. Yes, I've been seeing those marine stacks lately, now I know why, thanks for that info.
