Trains and Sick-bay On The BNSF Northern Transcon
Author: Ritzville

It was a cool sunny day in Ritzville, Wa on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 63-34. Traffic during the day has been spotty due to work windows, becoming busy at night.  I unfortunately have been in sick-bay since Thursday night with what I thought was a cold, but turned out to be the flu. The bug was a butt kicker, never left bed on Sunday and am now starting to feel slightly better. I did manage to get some grab shots from the back door between Friday and Monday. Went trackside on a couple of trains today now that I'm getting my strength back. Haven't been sick for a couple of years, I guess this made up for it, lol. Get your flu shots because it's no fun. Here's a look back at sick-bay.

Mostly grab shots.

Flu shots important for us geezers. You may still get the flu, but the duration is often less. I had about 3 days down in late December 2016 where I didn't even get up to watch the trains.

I'm glad to hear that you're mending up Larry!

There should be even more traffic on the line than usual right now.  There are maintenance windows from 08:00-14:00, and 20:00-02:00 each day this week on Stevens Pass.  A few more of those 'S' trains with the marine stacks perhaps.

Thanks, starting to feel human again, lol. Yes, I've been seeing those marine stacks lately, now I know why, thanks for that info.

Good that you are beginning to heal up.  Nice bunch of different types of trains here.
