An empty grain train led by BNSF 4518 rolls eastbound through Satus, WA in the Yakima Valley between Yakima and Pasco, WA on Saturday 10-13-18 over NP era jointed rail.  This was Northern Pacific's main line.

Nice to hear the old jointed rail sound reminding me of my younger days.

Thanks for the video!
How many trains per day you think on this line?
Thank you.

It looks like an average of 5-10 eastbounds a day right now.  Heading home from Toppenish on Sunday I saw 4 eastbounds in daylight with another behind the last.  Line is directional, no westbounds too.

Headed back to the Midwest for another load of grain....Here in Indiana we have had a bumper harvest this year....plenty of rain for the corn and soybeans....lots of trains being loaded around here to make room for those crops that have not yet been harvested.
