Western Railroad Discussion > Some Assembly RequiredDate: 11/17/18 19:22 Some Assembly Required Author: twjurgens We headed up to Omaha yesterday for the monthly Camerail meeting. Saw a few trains along the way of course!
One of them was a mixed freight with BNSF 5357, 5852, 7801, 2043, and 2304 as power. First car behind the engines was an SP flat car with EAMX covered hopper 1001 apparently headed somewhere for repair or final assembly (three more). Date: 11/17/18 19:24 Re: Some Assembly Required Author: twjurgens Before that, BNSF 4448 and 8044 with 7932 were approaching Greenwood with a westbound crude oil train.
These two trains made for a great start to our trip! Date: 11/17/18 19:28 Re: Some Assembly Required Author: Hookdragkick The "double-barrel shotgun" covered hopper--popular with vagabonds and modern train riders for it's security and concealment.

A surprising amount of room in there too. Great place to hide from whoever is after ya. Not that I’d know anything about ~ Mr. MRL Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 11/17/18 20:42 by MrMRL.
