Saturday on the MRL
Author: tc

A couple of shots from Bozeman pass this afternoon.  1st is a W/B coal load approaching Muir with a helper set waiting in the siding to go back to livingston. 3rd is in  Livingston with that helper set passing the L/M  in the yard as they go to the rear to attach.

The coal trains helper set make it back to Livingston  where the L/M waited for them so they could go up the pass but by this time the sun was to low for the chase up the pass. 3rd is a shot of a nice set of cars.

Livingston reminds me of Needles, CA--as soon as the train leaves the yard, the grade begins climbing.

That's some signficant snow there, Tim.  Great shots as usual.

My wife and I should be in the Bozeman/Livingston area this coming June - flying into BZN to start a trip to Yellowstone.  Looking forward to seeing the area firsthand.

Thanks for sharing these and all your Montana pics,

Rich
