Western Railroad Discussion > Albany & Eastern Reload at Crabtree ORDate: 11/29/18 20:26 Albany & Eastern Reload at Crabtree OR Author: K6XLT Was in Albany, OR for the Northwest Tandem Rally back in July. Had one day (3 July) to get out on my own to visit a relative. On the way back, followed a bit of the backroads we had ridden a few days before. Coming into Crabtree OR found an A&E local at the log reload swapping empties for the loads. Enjoy.

RB Date: 11/29/18 20:57 Re: Albany & Eastern Reload at Crabtree OR Author: K6XLT Sorry, no help on the reporting marks, wasn't really paying attention to those. If you look closely at the last pic, it looks to me like WPRR on the car closest.

This is a good example of a relatively short rail haul business that apparently, is profitable, or they wouldn't do it, but the Class One railroads won't come close to touching this type of business.
