Cleanup Tunnel 2

On the Mojave sub near Caliente. UP is finally picking up the boxcars that derailed earlier this year.
It looks like they are all getting scrapped.

Had to work it into the Precision Schedule.

D for derailment, C for Cleanup, had to go all the way around the Precision cycle.

Years ago when passenger trains ran over that line I recall looking out the windows at cars that had been down a steep canyon for a long, long time...
It's a matter of priorities and costs.

A shame to lose more boxcars, when there's a boxcar shortage nationwide!

Just saw another string of brand new TBOX boxcars on the Sunset Route last month, while I was socializing at West Colton Yard (Pepper Ave.) while watching the freights go by. I gave you this reply before. "Boxcar shortage" is your own personal fake news!
