Wonderful series - thanks for posting. Last shot is definitely a IOTD candidate. Your Twin Spanish Peaks shot reminds my of my VFR flying days from NE Kansas to Las Vegas. I knew I was on course if the nose of the aircraft was between the "bosoms on the horizon".

The "Twin Peaks" are the Spanish Peaks.  They are also referred to locally as Huatolla (pronounced Wah-a-toya), the Spanish phonetic spelling of the Ute name of the peaks, meaning "breasts of the world."
