Western Railroad Discussion > The forward-facing camera on 4141Date: 12/06/18 15:17 The forward-facing camera on 4141 Author: bmarti7 I loved the mounting under the conductor's window. What impressed me the most - I saw only one "jiggle" at one road crossing. That sub must be FRA class 5 ;^)

Did anbody else notice the dog that bolted from the left and ran across tracks right in front of the #4141? (it was at south end of one of the small towns) I was hoping engine missed him and was relieved when train didn't slow or stop. Probably gave that engineer a scare though... There was a lot of “two-shorts” on the whistle. BB Date: 12/06/18 16:51 Re: The forward-facing camera on 4141 Author: dan some of the feeds you could hear bullhorns calling out people

Saw that happen on the live stream also. We would not stop a train for something like that. If it's a dog some of us would let a track inspector know so they could look for it in the area. When/if found with collar call the owner to meet them if they wanted to. I would want someone to do the same if the tables were turned. Most just brush it off tho to be honest. On another note glad nobody got hit.

Really would love to look at the Incident Action Plan that was put together with Secret Service. Date: 12/06/18 23:29 Re: The forward-facing camera on 4141 Author: CSX602 tomuch23 Wrote:

In Texas, standing in the rain... When my dog got hit by the Bush funeral train... That's a good start for a country song writer... Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 12/07/18 04:43 by CSX602. Probably an unnerving trip for the crew.
