First Icy Snow of the Season
Author: Ritzville

It was a cold foggy icy snow type day in Ritzville, WA on the BNSF Lakeside Sub with a high-low of 32-29 and 3/4 inch of snow and ice. Very slippery and dangerous walking conditions. I've aquired a severe pinched nerve last Friday affecting my left shoulder and arm leaving me with hardly any dexterity in my left hand. Being left handed, it was quite scary. It was the worst pain I've ever felt along with not being able write with a pen. I had my first Chiropractic session and am now able to write like a second grader, lol. I hope this pain subsides and my dexterity returns to my left hand. Until this happens, will be on light duty for pictures. Here's a look before the snow and after the snowfall.

Nice roster photo of the freshly painted MAC. The snow should make it easier for the hawk to see his next meal. Be careful in the backyard Larry.

Cool stuff  Larry. The old Aussie BHP locos  would have not seen to much snow at their previous home.

There's the Antartica that we know and love! Living close beats going out and chasing in weather like that,
you have some interesting days up there, the Aussie stuff was aa nice change.

Probably strange weather for the FXE unit as well.  Careful with your fooring, but the snow does make for a nice bunch of shots.

I got a heads up as they arrived into Pasco about 3:15. I ran down and found them buried in the yard, no opporutunities for photos due to location and the impending darkness.
They went to the 'barn' about 9pm. I hoped for a chance again this morning, but the pea-soup fog thwarted that thought.

Those FURX units are going to Kettle Falls, WA for the new operator of the Kettle Falls International Railway, whose new name will be the St. Paul and Pacific Northwest Railroad.

FURX 4221 and 4225 went to Kettle Falls, WA for the Progressive Rail takeover of the Omnitrax Kettle Falls International Railway.  EDIT: that's what I get for sitting on a reply for three hours!

EMDX 1009 and 2001 went to the Progress Rail shop in Tacoma, WA.

Nice photos of an interesting array of exotic locomotives.  Glad to see your hawk buddy still is hanging around.
Sorry to hear about the pinched nerve--ouch! Hope it heals soon.
